What can I expect for data consumption when using Bells on mobile?  

Bells is designed for minimal data consumption on mobile.

What information is stored on the mobile device? 

In general, data is synchronized with the Bells server.  Any data stored locally on the device is stored in HIPAA-compliant encryption.

How long does it take before the mobile app locks?

In the web application, your Bells administrator will configure a session time-out setting that will lock your mobile application after the configured timeframe. To re-access, your PIN or biometrics must be used.  If you put the phone to sleep, when you return to the phone you will have to enter the app pin.


What does it mean when it tells me that Bells wants to use remarakble.ai to Sign In and what information is being shared?

When you first open Bells on a mobile device, you may see a prompt that looks like this:

When you click continue, you are giving permission for your phone to share information with Remarkable Health, using Remarkable Health's HIPAA-compliant authentication framework to validate that you are indeed an authorized user of Bells.  This is required to keep both your patient and your own information secure.


I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 10+.  Why does Bells keep crashing on me?  

Without getting too far into the weeds, this is due to an implementation difference in the Samsung device line vs the native Android operating system.  

We don't currently have a solution, but one possible workaround is installing the Chrome app and setting it as the default web browser for the device.


If my kiddo gets a hold of my phone, can they get into Bells?  

There is a sign in and password to access the Bells application on Mobile. This is the same credentials used when signing into the web application. The mobile application also utilizes your devices biometrics configuration. In the web application, your Bells administrator will configure a session time-out setting that will lock your mobile application after the configured timeframe. To re-access, your PIN or biometrics must be used. 


What capabilities are available in the mobile application when offline? 

Most features in the mobile application work with offline capability using previously loaded data from when you were connected to continue your workflows.
