Why must I have a Push Notification rather than a text message?
A push notification is now required for all electronic prescriptions due to federal requirements.
How do I see the Push Notification on a Samsung (Android) phone?
- Once you click to send a controlled medication to the pharmacy, you will be prompted to login to id.me.
- After login, you can select whether you want a text message or push notification (or either), depending on how you have configured your id.me.
- Select Push Notification.
- You will receive a notification about a sign-in request from id.me.
- Open the Authenticator app on your device.
- When the app opens, you will be prompted to unlock the Authenticator app.
- Unlock using either the pin or your biometrics (fingerprint) you set up when you installed the app
- Tap the id.me entry.
- If you have a pending request, you will be prompted to approve the sign-in.
- Click Yes.
- You will then continue to the prescription approval page.
Can I use a hard token as backup if I lose my device?
No, users will not be able to use a hard token with this new ScriptSure module due to the incompatibility with the login process into CT|One.
