Turning Images into Text:
Optical Character Recognition (OCR)

There is a really nifty thing Bells can do.

Using Optical Character Recognition (OCR), Bells can pull text out of an image so that you can use it in your Scribble and then in your progress note!

There are several scenarios where you may find it useful to get text from an image

  • Converting handwritten notes into text
  • Save time and typos by snapping a picture of a medication label for use in a progress note
  • Take a picture of lab results to reference later

The best thing about this is how easy it is to use.

Mobile

  1. Add an image to a Scribble
  2. Tap the image in the Scribble
  3. Tap Get Image Text

Web

  1. Add an image to a Scribble
  2. Click on the image in the Scribble
  3. Tap Get Image Text

That's it!  Bells will then pull any text it can find in the image and place it directly in your Scribble.  From there, you can use that Scribble when writing a progress note.
