Mobile Call Masking
Did you know?
The Bells Mobile application can mask your outgoing phone number so the individual on the other end can't see your number?
This will keep your number more private and so the individuals you call can't reach back out to you directly.
Your Bells administrators may have already configured Bells to force the call masking in the mobile application.
If not, the choice is up to you!
For Bells administrators:
On the configurations tab of the Organization Preferences, there is a setting for Mobile Call Masking.
When the Always Mask Calls toggle is on, the setting in mobile to mask calls will not be available to users. Phone calls made from the Bells Mobile application will be automatically masked.
When the Always Mask Calls toggle is off, the setting in mobile to mask calls will be available to users. Users will have the opportunity to set the preference on their mobile application for themselves.
For non-administrators:
Depending on the Organization Preference described above, the setting will be available to you or not.
If the setting is available, it'll be on the Settings section in the mobile application.
Settings can be found by tapping your avatar/username in the top left corner from the dashboard.
Then tap the Settings section in the menu. Settings should be the first section available.
When the Call Masking toggle is on, phone calls made from the Bells Mobile application will be masked automatically.
When the Call Masking toggle is off, phone calls made from the Bells Mobile application will not be masked, and the individual on the other end can see your phone number.
