CT Tasks Workflow: Create a Task

A task can be created from the Task Center window or the CT|Mail drop down menu.

 

Task Center
Click the New Task button.

CT|Mail Drop Down
Select New Task from the menu.  

1.  Enter the Task Name, think of this field as the subject line.

 2.  The task can be assigned to yourself as a reminder or to another staff member or staff group.


Assign to Self
Click the "Me" button, your name will present in the Assigned Field.

Assign to Staff or Staff Group
a. Click the "Assigned" button.
b. The Staff Select window presents.
c. Select the recipient(s) of the tasks by checking the checkbox next to the staff name(s) in the Available Staff column. The list of the Available Staff can be filtered by selecting on of the radio buttons.
d. Click the > directional arrow to move the selected staff to the To: Staff column.
e.  Click OK.
 

 3.  The Client ID field is an optional field. To link the task to a client enter the client's CT|One ID or use the binoculars to search for and select a client.

 4.  Client forms can be attached to the task if needed. The form must be open in the Client's chart prior to adding it to the task.

a.  CLick the Attach button.
b. Click on the form from the presented list.
c.  Click OK.
 

5.  Enter the message/instructions for the task in the Description field.

6.  Enter a due date and time for the task.

a.  Click the calendar button to open the calendar selection window.
b.  Enter the time in military time or include the AM or PM when entering the time.
 

7.  Select the type of task from the Category drop down.

8. Select the priority of the task from the Priority drop down.

9. Click Save.
