Client Allergies Guide

Client drug, food and other allergies can be recorded in the Medication Module or the Client Allergy window accessed from the Client menu.

Add Client Allergy

1. Open the Client Allergies window.

2.   Select the allergy type from the Type drop down.

Drug

a.   Enter the drug in the Search field. 

b.   Click the binoculars to initiate the search.

c.   Click on the drug from the presenting list to select it.


Drug Class

        a.   Enter the drug class in the Search field.

b. Click the binoculars to initiate the search.

        c.   Click on the drug class from the presenting list to select it.

Food Allergy
Enter the food item in the Allergy text field.

Other Allergy
Enter the allergen in the Allergy text field.
 

3.   Select the reaction from the Reaction drop down. If “Other” is selected, enter the reaction description in the Reaction/Comment field.

4. Select the reaction severity from the Severity drop down.

5.   Click OK.

Edit Client Allergy

1.   Open the Client Allergies window.

2.   Open the Allergen record.

  • Medication Module double click the allergen from the list.
  • Client Allergies window click on the allergy from the list

3.   Click the Edit button.

4. Make the necessary changes.

5.   Click Save.

Expire Client Allergy

1.   Open the Client Allergies window.

2.   Open the Allergen record.

  • Medication Module double click the allergen from the list.
  • Client Allergies window click on the allergy from the list

3.   Click the Edit button.

4.  Enter the date in the Expiration Date field.

5.   Click Save.
