Bells Quality Coach - FAQ
How can I make the question sets specific to certain kinds of notes?
There are questionnaire configuration filters available for Programs, Services, Notes Types, Location, Show status and more! Using and combining filters allows you to really narrow in on where you want the questionnaire to audit. If no filters are set all notes would be evaluated based on the questionnaire - this is a good example for an “Agency Policy” type questionnaire.
Explain the weight of the question when creating the questionnaire.
The question weight is a number you set when adding questions to the questionnaire so certain questions can hold more value/importance than others. The scale is arbitrary - we suggest you define a scale (1-50, 1-100, etc). The question's weight is in relation to the questions in the question set. When calculated, higher weights have more impact on the final score than lower-weighted questions. The weights do NOT have to equal any value.
Is there a character limit for the questions?
There is no character limit for questions in the questionnaire. We recommend focusing on the way the question is phrased. For example, if looking for a specific section in the note, use that section's output as part of the question.
Example - If the question is looking for information present in the Goals section of the note, your question might be: "In the Goals section, does…."
What can I ask questions about?
Anything in the note that comes across in the read-only (finalized view) of the note in Bells. Examples - Session data, written note content, specific questions/answers (if included in the note output).
How are the values being calculated?
Bells uses fancy math. Each question in the questionnaire carries a percentage of the score based on the weight set for the question.
Who can see the Quality Assurance Audit Dashboard?
Bells Administrators and users who have the Quality Assurance role in Bells will see the Quality Assurance section in the left nav bar and subsequently the Audit Dashboard.
In the note view, will I be able to see the quality score?
Scores showing in the note is something we're working on to determine how to do it best. Who should get to see it, is it an organization preference etc.
How can I use the Quality Coach to help promote Bells Documentation Assistant adoption?
The Quality Coach Dashboard can help with this! In the dashboard you have lots of data and metrics at your fingertips to make your case!
The dashboard can be filtered to specific practitioners, programs, services, locations and questionnaire. Use the data from Bells Documentation Assistant and then share it with your teams! If the notes using Bells are significantly higher then it's a great use case to complete the notes in Bells vs. the Care Record.
If I make edits to my Questionnaire will audit reviews that have been done be updated?
No, we're working on the ability to kick off a retroactive review based on a specific questionnaire.
Can Quality Coach questionnaires be pointed to a type of field on the note?
Not a specific field type, no.
